How do I get the judge to approve this program?

We have enrolled thousands of offenders all over the country.  Obtaining approval from the court to use this program should not be an issue.  By completing the request form, we will send you documentation that can be used to present to the court on your client's behalf.

How long does it take to set up a new enrollee?

Enrollment is a quick and easy process.  It takes under 10 minutes to enter the data for enrollment and record the voice print.

How does ShadowTrack capture the voice print?

ShadowTrack® can record the offender's voice print from any location using a land line telephone.  The voice print takes approximately 90 seconds to complete.  The offender will be asked to repeat various numbers until a valid sample is generated.

Where can the voice print be taken?

The voice print can be obtained from any land line telephone including the probation office, jail, enrollee's home, etc.

What kinds of programs use ShadowTrack?

ShadowTrack® has been used in the following programs:

  • Probation & Parole
  • Pretrial Release
  • Juvenile Court
  • Work Release
  • Drug Court
  • Diversionary
  • Pretrial Intervention

In what jurisdictions has ShadowTrack been approved?

ShadowTrack® has been approved nationwide, including local, state and federal agencies.  This list is growing each week.

Can ShadowTrack detect if a person is intoxicated?

Suspicion of intoxication can be detected due to slurring and unusual speech patterns.  However, ShadowTrack® cannot detect the level of alcohol consumed.

What happens if the individual fails to check-in or answer a random call?

Failure to check-in at the scheduled time or from an unauthorized location the supervising agent and/or the court will receive an automatic notification of the violation.  Notification reports are sent for various other violations such as failure to answer the land line phone, impostor attempt, hang-up, etc.

Can individuals work?

Schedules are determined by the judge, supervising agent, probation officer, etc.  In most instances, enrollees can maintain employment, school, attend religious services, and participate in treatment meetings and medical appointments.  ShadowTrack® scheduling is very accommodating from the most stringent to the most lenient schedules.

What happens if a person calls from an authorized location?

One of the benefits of ShadowTrack® is the ability to track and log all numbers into its database.  If an enrollee calls from an unauthorized number, ShadowTrack® will allow a voice verification to determine that it is the enrollee; the tracking report will record the information and send a non-compliant notification to the supervising agent and/or court (if one is assigned).

What type of phone service does an enrollee need?

A land line telephone with basic touch-tone service and call waiting is all that is required for the ShadowTrack® program.  Vonage and other Voice Over IP telephone services are not allowed at this time. Other restricted phone features include call forwarding, call conferencing, and anonymous call blocker/privacy director.
